For this task we had to find an image on google and
cut out the background so the person in the foreground of the photo is
isolated. To do this I used the polygonal lasso tool, this allows you to crop
around the image but click at certain places to realign the cut.
The other two tools that were available to use were
the lasso tool and the magnetic lasso tool. I did not use these tools because they
would not have given me control over what areas I would want to cut out not
giving me an accurate and professional look. The lasso tool allows you to
select a big area so it get cut away from the background. The magnetic lasso
tool automatically sticks to the area that you want to cut out but is not
accurate enough to get into small details and crevices in the photo like gaps
in the hair etc.
